Fountainbleau Park

Over 3o years ago we owned a travel trailer. We parked it by a lake in Gonzales and used it a few times but a hurricane came and they asked us to move it. So it sat out by our house and never got used. But to justify that we had a new born baby at the time and a company truck to pull it. We even had a neighbor complain because it was sitting at the end of the street. Apparently it is against the law but it wasn't bothering anyone, especially the person that complained about it. Go figure.
This past weekend we met the kids at Fountainbleau Park in Mandeville. Gabe and family have an RV that they have enjoyed for around a year now. They have traveled to New Mexico, Texas, Florida, and Mississippi so far. I have been trying to talk hubby into getting one so we could meet up with them and not pay hotel room fees. What is your take on them? Are they worth it? Hubby is worried about insurance, gas, etc.....But I say spending time with the grands is so worth it.

As you know, Neal LIVES in our RV most of the time while on a job. We've also gone "camping" if you can call it that, with recliners and a flat screen TV. It is expensive to pull with gas prices so high, but we love ours.
